The Summer Stretch...

Here we are at mid-August and still no hurricanes! Obviously, that is a good thing. I've been hitting the beach every morning over the past week. By getting to the beach around 8am or so, I've been able to miss the heat and thunderstorms of the day. And, the water has been absolutely perfect with virtually no waves and comfortable temperature. It's amazing how easy it is to get out of the habit of enjoying the beach. I live a block away and still find myself going for weeks (sometimes months) without even walking out to see the ocean. That is really inexcusable.
